Goals

• Transform an existing exterior porch into a gracious billiards room with old-world charm and contemporary amenities.
• Create new and renovated spaces throughout the existing home.

Challenges

• Integrate the design into the existing architecture and style of the house.
• Engage the landscape and views.
• Develop the interior finishes in collaboration with the client's Interior Decorator to blend successfully with the rest of the home.

Design Response

• Created a richly paneled interior, integrating windows, seating, and built-in cabinets with the geometry of the paneling and detailing.
• Extended a corner of the space to create an oval Tea Room poised above a meadow and pond.
• In the basement, converted a play room into a home theatre, with a wine cellar positioned under an existing bay.
