5,000 sf
Goals
- Reposition and design the Executive Offices and Board Room as part of a facility-wide master planning project, also performed by Signer Harris Architects, to improve space utilization and reflect the client image within the 250,000 sf office building.
Challenges
- Phase multiple moves to minimize disruption of ongoing operations.
- Create a design statement without straying too far from the existing standards for finishes.
- Work within an existing round plan format for the Executive Offices.
Design Response
- Created a plan for the office area that stressed the common space shared by the executives, open for collaboration and interaction and linked to the offices with art-glass panels.
- Developed a palette of materials and colors based on more saturated versions of the existing finish palette, reflecting a bold yet established management team.
- Designed a Board Room proportioned for communication and appropriate for other presentations and meetings, maximizing flexibility.
- Added features to the Board Room, including custom side desks, concealed marker boards, a butler's pantry for discreet meal service, and state-of-art audio-visual systems.
- Added a reception/waiting room to the Board Room area, including a generous coat/luggage closet and two private booths with phone and internet service for guests.
