- Design a space with no "back-of-house": research and manufacturing spaces are both labs and sales rooms.
- Address biology and chemistry intensive environments with a minimum of clutter and a maximum amount of flexibility.
Design Response
- Designed a plan layout where functional activities are located sensibly for BOTH operations and sales – allowing customers to tour working research labs.
- Established a clean, crisp, clinical environment that reflects the medical/scientific business, but also becomes a modern stage where customers can envision their own environments.
- Programmed strategically and efficiently to maximize the value of the real estate.
- Incorporated fixed benches, moveable benches, and ceiling-mounted utility distribution systems.
